Following up on our weekly Closers and Holds articles will be our Top 100 RP’s for SV+HD leagues every Friday. Use this list to get a feel for the current reliever market and to gauge value for trades, waiver adds, etc. Keep in mind, holds are much more volatile and harder to predict. We’ve only seen one season from a pitcher with more than 30 holds since 2016, while 26 closers have gone over 30 saves in that same timeframe.
NOTES
- We welcome back Brad Ziegler, Will Harris, Oliver Perez and Nick Vincent to the list as well as newcomer Xavier Cedeno. Falling off the list we have Cory Gearrin, Adam Warren, Trevor May, Adam Conley and Cam Bedrosian.
- Cody Allen, Blake Treinen, Edwin Diaz, Jose Alvarado, and Jordan Hicks were the five relievers with 3 SV+HD’s this week. It’s notable that Allen has picked up 4 holds since earning his last save on August 20th but has pitched much better since being used in front of Brad Hand.
